Design & Size Testing

Vitamix Professional Series 750 Design & Size

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 blender has a compact design with dimensions that make it slightly smaller than the Vitamix A3500. It stands at 17.4 inches tall (44.3 cm), which means it can fit under most standard kitchen cabinets. Its width is 8.0 inches (20.3 cm), and its depth measures 8.5 inches (21.7 cm). These measurements make it relatively easy to find a spot for it on your kitchen counter, especially if you’re working with limited space.

However, the blender is quite hefty, weighing in at 13.0 pounds (5.9 kg). This weight gives it a sturdy and durable feel, but it also means you’ll need to consider where to store it carefully. If you prefer to keep your countertop clear, make sure you have a spacious cupboard to accommodate it. Moving it frequently might not be convenient due to its weight.

The 750 is an immersion blender, so the shaft length doesn’t apply here, as it is designed as a countertop model. Overall, while its dimensions and weight make it feel solid and professional, it’s important to ensure you have enough space for this blender to shine in your kitchen setup. Its compact yet robust build is perfect for those who prioritize quality and durability in their kitchen appliances.

We give the Vitamix Professional Series 750 a 90/100 for its dimensions and design. It loses 10 points due to its weight, which might be inconvenient for some users. However, its compact size and premium build make it a standout choice for those seeking a reliable and space-efficient blender.

Jar Material & Capacity

Jar Material & Capacity

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 comes with a generously sized main pitcher, offering a capacity of 64 ounces (1,890 ml). This is one of its standout features, especially for those who love to prepare large batches of smoothies, soups, or sauces in one go. Whether you’re hosting a family dinner, prepping meals for the week, or making drinks for a party, this pitcher size makes it effortless to handle multiple servings at once. It saves you from having to blend in multiple batches, which is a huge time-saver and adds to the convenience.

While the blender doesn’t come with any additional jars, the 64-ounce capacity of the main jar is sufficient for most everyday needs. Unlike smaller jars that can be limiting, this pitcher feels versatile, catering to both small and large quantities without any hassle.

The jar is made from BPA-free plastic, which ensures that your food stays safe and free from harmful chemicals. This is an important feature for health-conscious users who prioritize safety in their kitchen equipment. The plastic material also makes the jar lightweight, so despite its large capacity, it’s easy to handle and pour from. However, being plastic, it might not feel as premium as glass jars, and you’ll need to handle it carefully to avoid scratches or wear over time.

One thing to note is that the jar is not dishwasher-safe. This means you’ll have to wash it manually, which might be a drawback for some users. Cleaning such a large jar can feel a bit tedious, especially if you’ve blended sticky or greasy ingredients. However, Vitamix blenders often feature a self-cleaning function, which can help make the process quicker and easier.

Blender Build Quality

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 truly stands out with its exceptional build quality, which feels solid and reliable from the moment you unbox it. The base of the blender is built with a combination of materials that strikes a great balance between durability and functionality. Its lower part of the base is made of a sturdy metal alloy, giving it a premium and robust feel. This metal construction not only adds to its weight for stability but also ensures it can withstand daily use for years.

The upper part of the base, made of durable plastic, complements the metal alloy seamlessly. The plastic is thick and well-crafted, showing no signs of being flimsy or prone to wear. This thoughtful material choice helps keep the blender lighter than an all-metal design would, while still offering a solid feel.

One of the most impressive aspects of the build is the metal gears on both the base and the jar. This design element enhances the durability of the machine, ensuring a strong connection between the jar and base. Unlike plastic gears that may wear out over time, these metal components feel built to last, even with heavy or frequent use.

The power cable deserves a mention too. It’s long and thick, making it easy to position the blender wherever you need it on your countertop. The quality of the cable adds to the overall feeling of reliability. It’s sturdy yet flexible, and its length ensures you won’t be limited by the placement of your outlets.

The controls on this blender are another highlight. Its buttons are responsive, and they press down smoothly, giving you precise control over your blending. The speed dial, which is a key feature of the Vitamix 750, feels satisfying to use. It turns effortlessly and provides a range of speeds, allowing you to fine-tune your blending. The best part is that the dial can be pulled off easily. This is a thoughtful touch, as it allows you to clean any splatters or residue that may collect underneath, keeping your blender looking and functioning like new.

The blender is designed with four sturdy feet on the bottom. These help keep it securely in place during operation, even at high speeds. It doesn’t wobble or shift around, which is especially important when blending tougher ingredients like frozen fruit or nuts.

The lid design also deserves praise for its practicality. It features a two-part lid, which is easy to remove and clean. The removable center piece is perfect for adding ingredients mid-blend without having to stop the machine. While the lid isn’t dishwasher-safe, it’s simple to rinse under running water. The lid uses a friction closing mechanism, which feels secure and doesn’t require excessive force to open or close.

Blade Design & Speed

Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blade Design & Speed

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 is equipped with an impressive blade system that ensures efficient and consistent blending. At the heart of its design are the four sharp blades, which are securely fixed inside the jar. These blades are made of high-quality stainless steel, giving them the durability to handle tough ingredients like frozen fruits, nuts, and ice. The sharpness of the blades allows them to effortlessly cut through even the most challenging textures, delivering smooth and creamy results every time.

While the blades are not removable, they are securely integrated into the jar to provide optimal blending performance. It’s technically possible to unscrew the nut assembly that holds the blades in place, but doing so voids the warranty, so it’s best avoided. This fixed design ensures a tight and leak-proof seal, preventing any mess during operation. For cleaning, you can rely on the blender’s self-cleaning function, which makes it easy to keep the blades and jar hygienic without any need for disassembly.

The blender’s speed range is another standout feature. With a minimum speed of 1,400 RPM and a maximum speed of 22,400 RPM, it offers a wide range of blending options. This versatility means you can fine-tune the speed to suit your recipe, whether you’re gently stirring a sauce or pulverizing tough ingredients into a silky smoothie. The control dial is intuitive to use, making it easy to switch between speeds with precision.

The motor power behind these blades is equally impressive. With 1,440 watts, the Vitamix 750 packs enough strength to handle almost any blending task you throw at it. From crushing ice to blending thick batters, the power output ensures quick and efficient performance. The blades and motor work together seamlessly, ensuring consistent results no matter the task.

It’s important to note that the blades and jar are not dishwasher-safe. While this may seem like a drawback, the blender compensates with its self-cleaning mode. A quick blend of warm water and dish soap is all it takes to clean the blades thoroughly, saving you time and effort.

One limitation is that the speed adjustment does not vary based on jar type. This might not be an issue for most users, but for those using specialized jars, the settings need to be manually adjusted. Despite this, the speed range and power ensure excellent performance across a variety of blending needs.

Performance

Soups Making

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 excels when it comes to making soups, making it a standout choice for those who enjoy warm, hearty meals. Its performance in this area is truly impressive, offering a combination of convenience, efficiency, and exceptional results.

Its hot blending capability is a big advantage for anyone who wants to streamline their cooking process. You can transfer ingredients directly from the pot or pan into the blender without worrying about damaging the jar or compromising safety. The sturdy design and BPA-free materials make it reliable for handling high temperatures, so there’s no need to wait for your ingredients to cool.

The 64-ounce jar is another great feature, especially for families or those who like to meal prep. It offers plenty of space to create large batches of soup, which is perfect for hosting or saving leftovers for later. The jar’s capacity means you can blend enough servings in one go without having to work in multiple batches, saving time and effort.

When it comes to texture, the Vitamix 750 delivers exceptionally smooth results, even with fibrous ingredients. Whether you’re working with hearty vegetables like carrots and celery or greens like kale, the blender turns them into a silky, lump-free puree. This makes it ideal for creamy vegetable soups, bisques, and even sauces. You won’t have to worry about chunks or uneven blending, as the powerful motor and sharp blades handle tough ingredients effortlessly.

One of the most convenient features is the ‘Soup’ program, which takes soup-making to the next level. This pre-set program not only blends your ingredients but also heats them up using friction from the blades. This means you can start with cool or room-temperature ingredients, and by the end of the program, your soup will be piping hot and ready to serve. It’s an amazing feature that saves time and reduces the need for additional pots or pans.

The pre-set program is also easy to use. With just the turn of the dial, the blender does all the work, from blending to heating. You can step away and focus on other tasks while the Vitamix handles your soup. This level of automation is especially helpful for busy cooks or anyone new to blending soups.

Fibrous Ingredients

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 truly shines when it comes to handling fibrous ingredients, making it an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys nutrient-packed recipes. Whether you’re working with a full jar or a smaller batch, this blender is capable of transforming tough, fibrous ingredients into smooth, silky purees.

When processing full-capacity batches, this Vitamix blender demonstrates its powerful motor and efficient blade design. Ingredients like kale, spinach, or celery are quickly and thoroughly incorporated, resulting in a smooth, lump-free texture. Even at maximum capacity, the blender handles these challenging ingredients without breaking a sweat. The sharp blades and variable speed settings ensure that fibrous components are evenly processed, leaving virtually no specks behind. This level of consistency is ideal for soups, green smoothies, and sauces where you want a velvety finish.

For smaller batches, the Vitamix 750 offers the same level of performance, though the process requires a bit more attention. The blender can handle smaller quantities of fibrous ingredients like kale with ease, creating a perfectly smooth puree. The results are impressive, with the same silky texture you’d expect from larger batches. However, achieving this level of smoothness can take a few extra minutes of blending, especially for dense mixtures.

One thing to note when working with smaller batches is the need for some manual intervention. While the blades and motor do most of the work, you may need to pause and scrape the sides of the jar with a spatula to ensure all the ingredients are fully blended. This step is especially important for thicker recipes, as fibrous bits can sometimes stick to the sides. Though this adds a little extra effort, the end result is well worth it—a rich, silky blend that highlights the blender’s capabilities.

Making Nut Butter

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 blender is an exceptional tool for making nut butter, offering a smooth and creamy end product that rivals store-bought options. However, the process does require a bit of effort and patience, especially compared to some other models in the Vitamix lineup.

When you begin making nut butter, you’ll notice how effectively the powerful motor and sharp blades start to crush and grind the nuts. Whether you’re using almonds, peanuts, cashews, or a mix, the initial stages of blending are smooth, with the machine effortlessly breaking down the nuts into smaller pieces. As you gradually increase the speed, the blending process intensifies, and you can see the transformation from coarse pieces to a creamy, spreadable texture.

That said, one aspect you need to be prepared for is the tendency for crushed nuts to stick in the jar’s grooves. This is a common issue when working with sticky or oily ingredients, as the jar’s design can sometimes trap bits of the mixture. To keep the process smooth, you’ll likely need to pause periodically to scrape the sides with a spatula. While this adds a bit of manual work, it ensures that all the nuts are evenly incorporated, avoiding any chunks or uneven texture in the final product.

Compared to the Vitamix A2500, the 750 takes a bit longer to achieve that perfect nut butter consistency. This doesn’t mean it’s less capable—it’s just a matter of the jar design and processing time. With the A2500, the blending process feels a bit faster due to its updated technology, but the Vitamix 750 still gets the job done beautifully. It might take a few extra minutes of blending and scraping, but the results are well worth the effort.

Once you’ve worked through the blending process, the payoff is remarkable. The smoothness and creaminess of the nut butter are impressive, with no noticeable chunks or gritty texture. It’s the kind of quality you’d expect from a high-end blender, and it’s ideal for a variety of uses—spreading on toast, mixing into recipes, or simply eating by the spoonful.

User Interface

Vitamix Professional Series 750 User Interface

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 features a control system that is both simple and intuitive, making it easy to use for anyone, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced blender user. It doesn’t come with a digital display or complicated buttons; instead, it sticks to a more traditional design with physical switches and a smooth rotating speed dial. This design ensures that you can focus on your blending without having to deal with a complicated interface.

One of the first things you’ll notice is the on/off switch located on the side of the blender. Before you can start blending, you need to flip this switch to the “on” position. While this may seem like an extra step, it serves as an important safety feature, preventing the blender from accidentally starting up. It’s a small detail but one that adds an extra layer of security, especially in a busy kitchen.

The speed dial is another key feature of the Vitamix 750, and it offers a lot of control over your blending. The dial is marked with numbers from 1 to 10, but rather than clicking into each level, the dial rotates smoothly. This allows you to adjust the speed with fine precision, giving you complete control over your blend. Whether you want to gradually increase the speed to make a silky smoothie or keep it low for a chunkier texture, the smooth rotation makes it easy to fine-tune the blending process.

In addition to manual control, the Vitamix blender 750 also offers five automatic blending programs. These include the Smoothies program, which is perfect for making creamy, consistent smoothies with minimal effort. The Frozen Desserts program is ideal for creating frozen treats like sorbets or ice creams, while the Soups program not only blends ingredients but also heats them with friction. There’s also a Purees program for silky, smooth purées, and a Cleaning Cycle program, which makes it easy to clean the blender by simply adding warm water and soap to the jar. These preset programs help you make the most common blends with a single turn of the dial, giving you convenience without having to manually adjust the settings every time.

You’ll also find a pulse switch on the blender, which is perfect for tasks that require short bursts of power, like chopping vegetables or making chunky dips. This pulse feature gives you control over the blending process, allowing you to quickly and easily chop or pulse ingredients to your desired texture. Right next to it is the start/stop switch, which makes it easy to pause or stop the blender whenever you need to. It’s great for when you need to check your blend or scrape down the sides of the jar.

One thing the Vitamix Pro Series 750 doesn’t have is a blending time indicator or a programmable timer, which means you don’t get the ability to set the blender to automatically stop after a certain time. While this may be a downside for some, it aligns with the blender’s focus on simplicity and hands-on control. It’s more about feeling your way through the blending process rather than relying on a timer.

Easy to Clean

Cleaning the Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender is surprisingly easy, which is one of the things I really appreciate about it. Much like the Vitamix Explorian E520, it has a self-cleaning feature that makes the process a lot simpler. All you need to do is add a bit of soap and water to the jar, then run the one-minute self-cleaning program. This program does a lot of the work for you, blending the water and soap to loosen any food debris left inside the jar. It’s impressive how quickly it works, and most of the time, the jar comes out clean with minimal effort.

However, there are still a couple of things that need a bit more attention. While the self-cleaning program takes care of most of the cleaning, you’ll still need to use a brush to clean the non-removable blades. These blades are sharp and fixed in place, so they don’t come off easily, making it a bit tricky to clean every nook and cranny. I found that using a brush helps to get into those hard-to-reach spots and ensures the blades are properly cleaned.

Additionally, the inside of the lid also requires a little extra attention. It’s not too difficult to clean, but I recommend wiping it down or using a brush to remove any food that may get trapped around the edges. These small steps help ensure that the blender stays in good condition and ready for the next use.

Noise Level

When it comes to noise, the Vitamix Professional Series 750 is undeniably powerful but not exactly the quietest blender in the kitchen. At maximum speed, it measures 97.7 decibels, which is noticeably loud and can be a bit of a nuisance if you’re sensitive to sound or in a small space.

The first thing you’ll notice when running this blender at its highest speed is how the noise fills the room. It’s a deep, mechanical hum combined with a sharp whirring sound from the blades spinning at incredible speeds. If you’re standing nearby, it can be quite irritating, especially during longer blending sessions. This is something to consider if you often blend in the early morning or late at night when others might still be sleeping.

Compared to other high-performance blenders, such as the Wolf Gourmet Pro-Performance, the Vitamix 750 is significantly louder. The Wolf model seems to have better insulation or design features that dampen the noise, making it a less disruptive option for those who prioritize a quieter kitchen experience.

For noise levels, we’d give the Vitamix pro series 750 64-oz blender a 58/100. It loses points for being one of the louder models we’ve tested, but its power and blending efficiency make it worth the occasional noise. For those who need quieter operation, other models like the Wolf Gourmet Pro-Performance might be a better fit.

Final Verdict

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 is an excellent choice for anyone serious about blending. With its durability, ease of use, and impressive performance, it’s ideal for home chefs who want a versatile and powerful tool in their kitchen. If you’re willing to invest in a premium blender, this one is definitely worth considering.
