A Short Overview
This versatile blender is perfect for small and large portions of hard to blend foods therefore ideal for any smoothie enthusiast.
From a cup of blended fruit for breakfast to a protein shake after your workout session, the Blendtec Classic 575 will deliver.
One of the things that stand out in this blender is its incredible capacity of crushing ice cubes. No more big pieces of ice in the drink and welcome to silky smooth consistency that is ideal for frozen cocktails and pastries.
But if you are cooking and at some point required to mix hot ingredients then the Blendtec Classic 575 is ready for the call. This does not pose any issue when it comes to blending hot substances; thus, it can be a valuable asset to any kitchen.
However, it should be noted that the Blendtec Classic 575 is not so suitable for hominy and dense mixtures like nut butters or hummus compared to Blendtec designer 725 and Blendtec chef 600. It is of course not incapable of processing these types of ingredients but may not be able to get the right texture.
If you want nut butters that are creamy or smooth hummus, then it is recommendable that you choose Vitamix A2500 or 5200. These blenders are considerably more suitable for such recipes because they are designed to work with more viscous foods.
Overall Look and Design
Size
The Blendtec Classic 575 measures 15.2 inches in height, 7.3 inches in width, and 8 inches in depth. Weighing in at 7.6 pounds, it’s relatively lightweight and won’t take up too much space on your counter or in your cupboard.
Compared to other blenders like the Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770, the Blendtec Classic 575 is a more compact option. But don’t worry, it still has a large 90-ounce jar that can handle big batches of blending.
While the jar holds up to 90 ounces, the manufacturer recommends a blending capacity of 36 ounces. This means you can blend up to 36 ounces of ingredients at a time, leaving some room for expansion during the blending process.
The jar and lid are made of BPA-free plastic, ensuring your blended creations are safe to consume. Plus, they’re dishwasher-safe, making cleanup a breeze. Just place them in the dishwasher and let it take care of the cleaning for you.
Built Quality
The Blendtec Classic 575 blender has its strengths and weaknesses when it comes to build quality. On the plus side, the blade and motor assembly feel rock-solid, giving you confidence in its ability to handle tough blending tasks.
The blender also comes with a clever ‘Spoonula’—a hybrid spoon/spatula that makes it easy to scoop out food from the uniquely shaped jar without damaging the blades. Plus, the grippy feet keep the blender stable, even when blending intense ingredients like nuts or frozen bananas at high speed.
However, some parts of the blender feel a bit cheap, like the control panel and display. We were disappointed to see the display cover peeling off our unit, which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. If you look closely, you’ll spot an exposed circuit board on the underside of the base, visible through a vent.
LID
The Blendtec Classic 575 blender features a two-part lid designed to make blending hot food a breeze. Its lid is flexible and has a removable section in the middle, allowing steam to escape when blending hot ingredients.
Its friction-based closure makes it easy to secure the lid and prevent any messes. Plus, the vented shafts in the lid ensure that steam can escape safely, reducing the risk of pressure buildup and making the blending process smoother and more efficient.
Blades
The Blendtec Classic 575 blender is equipped with two blunt blades designed to tackle tough blending tasks. Unlike some other blenders, the blades are not removable from the jar. However, the good news is that you can simply throw the jar and blades in the dishwasher for easy cleaning.
When it comes to performance, the blender packs a punch. It has a minimum speed of 4,900 RPM and a maximum speed of 22,200 RPM, making it capable of blending even the toughest ingredients. With a power output of 1,560 W, it’s a powerful blender that can handle whatever you throw at it.
This Blendtec blender also features five preset speeds and a dedicated pulse button, which is perfect for blending denser foods like nuts or seeds. However, be warned: it can get extremely loud when running at max speed. So, if you’re planning to blend early in the morning or late at night, you might want to consider the noise level.
Performance
Nut Butter
If you’re a fan of creamy nut butter, you might be disappointed to learn that the Blendtec Classic 575 blender isn’t the best tool for the job. While it’s powerful in many ways, it just can’t seem to get the job done when it comes to making smooth, creamy nut butter.
One of the biggest problems is that it takes a lot of blending time to achieve the desired consistency. You’ll need to blend the nuts for a long time, stopping frequently to scrape down the sides of the jar and make sure everything is well mixed. Even then, the results can be hit or miss—often, the nut butter ends up chunky and uneven.
Another issue is that the blender requires a lot of manual effort. You’ll need to use a spatula or spoon to scrape down the sides of the jar and mix everything together, which can be a real hassle. And even with all that effort, you might not get the results you’re looking for.
If you’re looking for a blender that can handle nut butter with ease, you might want to consider a different option. The Vitamix Explorian E520 or Vitamix Explorian E310, for example, is specifically designed for making smooth, creamy nut butter. It’s a game-changer for anyone who loves nut butter and makes the process much easier.
Fibrous Ingredients
The Blendtec Classic 575 is perfect for small batches, and even though it only comes with a full-size pitcher, it can handle smaller quantities with ease.
It’s fantastic for making single-serve smoothies or soups with fibrous ingredients. The blender breaks down the ingredients into a smooth, even texture that’s perfect for sipping or spooning. Just be aware that some ingredients might splash up the sides of the jar, so you may need to use a spatula to push everything back down into the mix.
What really sets this ice crush blender apart is its ability to process fibrous ingredients at full capacity. It can make an even smoother blend with vegetables like kale or fruits like pineapple, resulting in nearly perfect soups and smoothies. Of course, some blenders, like the Vitamix Propel 750, can produce similar results even faster. But if you’re looking for a blender that can handle fibrous ingredients with ease, the Blendtec Classic 575 is a great choice.
How to Use Blendtec Classic 575
The Blendtec Classic 575 blender comes with a range of features and functions that enhance control and customize your blending experience. One of the most convenient features is the on/off switch, allowing you to quickly start and stop the blender as needed.
When it comes to speed, you have plenty of options. The blender offers five different speed presets, ranging from low to high, for manual blending. Each preset runs the blender for 50 seconds, giving you precise control over the blending process.
But that’s not all. The blender also features a pulse/turbo mode, enabling continuous blending by holding down the pulse button. Additionally, there are separate buttons for 60 and 90-second cycles if you need to blend for specific durations.
In addition to manual blending, the blender includes several pre-programmed modes for added convenience. There’s a ‘Smoothie’ program, perfect for quick and easy smoothies, and a ‘Self-Clean’ program, ensuring easy maintenance of the blender.
As you blend, the digital display counts down the time, keeping you informed of the remaining blending duration. This feature makes it effortless to plan your blending tasks and achieve precise results. Overall, the Blendtec Classic 575 blender is designed for ease of use and customization, equipped with features that cater to any blending task.
How to Clean Blendtec Classic 575
The Blendtec Classic 575 blender stands out for its effortless cleaning process. There’s no need to fret about stubborn pulp or residue; its design ensures easy access beneath the blades for thorough cleaning.
Even when tackling messier tasks like making nut butter or soup, the included Spoonula proves invaluable. It helps scrape every last bit of ingredients from the jar, simplifying cleanup to a few easy steps.
Noise Level
Get ready for a robust blending experience with the Blendtec . At maximum speed, it generates a notable 99.2 decibels of noise—enough to be quite distracting and even irritating.
Compared to other full-size blenders available, the Blendtec 575 blender ranks among the loudest. If you prefer a quieter blending option, you might want to explore models like the Vitamix Ascent series A2300. However, if you don’t mind the noise, this Blendtec soups making blender offers impressive blending power.
Comparing with Other Models
