Ninja BL610 Professional Blender design

If you’re thinking about how big and heavy the Ninja BL610 is, it's a good idea to get a sense of its size and weight. Let me tell you, this blender is not exactly petite. It stands at a respectable 17.1 inches tall, 6.4 inches wide, and 9.8 inches deep. That's not massive, but it's definitely not tiny either. And when it comes to weight, it tips the scales at 7.7 pounds. So, it's not something you'll want to be lugging around or storing in a cramped cabinet.

Instead, it's best to find a comfortable spot for it on your countertop or a sturdy shelf. That way, it'll be easy to access and use whenever you need it. And don't worry, it's not like it's going to take over your entire kitchen - it's actually smaller and lighter than some of the other Ninja blenders out there, like the BL642 and Ninja TB401 Detect Kitchen System Power Blender.

Ninja BL610 Professional Blender jar

The main jar is a whopping 72oz (2,125ml) in capacity, with a 64 oz limit for liquids. That's basically as big as blender jars come, making it perfect for families, parties, or anyone who likes to cook in bulk. And don't worry about the material - it's made from BPA-free plastic, so you can blend away with peace of mind.

I also love that the jar has all the measuring marks you need, in cups, ounces, and milliliters, so you can get precise with your recipes. And the handle is super comfortable to grip, making it easy to pour and maneuver. Just a heads up: you'll need to make sure you align the jar correctly on the motor base to click it into place. It's not rocket science, but it's worth noting. And if you're someone who's all about glass jars, you might want to check out the Oster Pro 1200 instead. But for me, this plastic jar is a winner.

Ninja BL610 Professional Blender lid

The lid is made of plastic, and on its underside, you'll find a rubber gasket that helps create a secure seal when it's attached to the jar. This gasket is important because it prevents leaks and ensures that your ingredients stay inside the blender where they belong.

One of the handy features of the lid is the spout-like opening on one corner. This opening is covered with a clear plastic cover that flips open, allowing you to pour out your blended creations with ease. This can be really useful when you're making smoothies or other liquids, as it makes it easy to pour them into a glass or container without making a mess.

However, it's worth noting that the opening isn't big enough to act as a 2-part lid, which would allow you to add ingredients mid-blend. This means that you'll need to add all your ingredients before you start blending, and then let the blender do its magic. Additionally, the opening isn't large enough to fit a tool like a tamper, which can be used to stir your recipe and ensure everything is well mixed.

It's also worth noting that the stacked blades inside the blender would make it difficult to use a tamper even if the opening was larger. The blades are designed to blend ingredients quickly and efficiently, but they do take up a lot of space inside the jar.

To use the blender, you'll need to lock the lid onto the jar before you start blending. This is a simple process that requires you to align the triangle symbol on the lid with the triangle symbol on the jar's handle. Once you've done this, you'll need to push the lid down on its handle until it locks into place. This ensures that the lid is securely attached and won't come loose during blending, which is important for safety and to prevent messes.

Ninja BL610 Professional Blender motor

The motor base is made of a solid, sturdy plastic that feels like it can handle whatever blending tasks you throw at it. And I love that it's got those rubber feet on the bottom - they keep the blender from slipping and sliding around on your countertop, which is a total game-changer.

The black plastic platform that the jar sits on is also super robust, and it holds the jar steady as a rock. I was impressed by how secure it feels - no wobbling or shaking around here! And before you can start blending, you need to twist the jar into place and lock the lid on. It's a simple but clever design that makes me feel confident that the blender is going to do its job safely and efficiently.

Ninja BL610 Professional Blender blade
Overall Scored of this feature100%

It's got a stem design with six super sharp blades spiraling around it, which Ninja lovingly calls the 'Total Crushing' blade assembly. I've tested other Ninja blenders with this same design, like the Ninja TB301 and TB201, and they're all rockstars when it comes to crushing ice. Whether you're making smoothies, frozen drinks, or just need to chop up some ice for a party, this blade assembly is up to the task.

But be careful when you're handling those blades, because they're seriously sharp - you don't want to risk cutting yourself.

When it comes to speed, the BL610's got some serious power behind it. The blades spin at a minimum of 3,600 RPM and a max of 4,600 RPM, and it takes 1,000 watts of power to get the job done. That's a lot of oomph, and it's what makes this blender so good at crushing and blending tough ingredients.

There's not a huge difference between the slowest and fastest speed settings, which is pretty typical of Ninja blenders. What that means is that you don't have as much control over the blending process as you might like. You can't really fine-tune the speed to get exactly the texture you're looking for, which can be a bit frustrating. And if you're trying to puree fibrous ingredients like kale, you might find that it doesn't quite get smooth enough - it's just not built for those super high speeds.

Soup Testing

It's essential to understand its limitations, especially when it comes to hot blending. According to the manufacturer, this blender is not designed to handle hot ingredients, and there's a good reason for that. The issue is that steam can't escape from the jar, which can lead to a buildup of pressure and potentially cause problems.

As a result, if you're planning to make recipes like soup, you'll need to let your ingredients cool down first before adding them to the blender. This might add an extra step to your cooking process, but it's a necessary precaution to ensure safe and effective blending.

On the plus side, the Ninja 1000 Professional Blender's 72-ounce main pitcher is a generous size that can handle most recipes in a single batch. This means you can make a significant amount of your favorite smoothies, dips, or sauces without having to stop and start multiple times. Whether you're making a large batch of margaritas for a party or a big pot of hummus for a snack, this blender has got you covered.

However, it's also important to note that the Ninja BL610 1000  Professional Blender has its limitations when it comes to certain types of ingredients. If you're working with fibrous ingredients like kale, broccoli, or other tough greens, you might not get the smooth, creamy texture you're looking for. This is because the blender's blades can struggle to break down these tougher ingredients, leaving behind a slightly chunky or pulpy texture.

This doesn't mean the blender can't handle these ingredients at all, but you might need to add a little extra liquid or blend for a longer period to get the desired consistency. Alternatively, you could also consider adding other ingredients that can help break down the fibers, such as bananas or avocados. With a little experimentation and patience, you can still get great results from the Ninja Professional Blender 1000, even with tougher ingredients.

Fibrous Ingredients Testing

Vitamix a3300 Ascent Series Smart Blender

So, you're wondering how the Ninja BL610 Professional Blender handles fibrous ingredients like kale? So, it can handle small batches of kale okay, but don't expect a silky-smooth blend. You'll probably still be left with some tiny unprocessed grains floating around, especially if you're making a single-serve smoothie. And to be honest, the process can be a bit of a pain.

First, you'll need to blend for a while, which can be a bit of a waiting game. And then, because the mixture tends to splatter up the sides of the jar, you'll need to stop and scrape it down with a spoon or spatula a few times to get the best results. It's not the most efficient process, and it can be a bit frustrating, especially if you're in a hurry.

If you're making a larger batch of kale smoothie, the results are even more mixed. Even if you blend for a long time, you'll still end up with a grainy puree that's not exactly what you're looking for.

Also, the worst part is that there are even more bigger, unprocessed bits of kale floating around than there were in the small batch. It's like, you're trying to get a smooth, creamy texture, but instead you're left with a chunky, unappetizing mess. If you want to buy the best blender for smoothies, so you should try Ninja Foodi Cold and Hot Blender or Ninja Chef Blender CT810

Crushing Ice Testing

I've tried out a bunch of full-size Ninja blenders, and this one is just as impressive as the rest. It can take a whole batch of 12 ice cubes and turn them into a pile of fluffy, snow-like ice in just 30 seconds flat - and all you need to do is hit the pulse mode button. The resulting crushed ice is perfect for making all sorts of tasty treats.

Nut Butter Testing

Ninja BL610 Professional Blender blade

The Ninja BL610 Professional Blender is a perfect choice to make nut butter. To get the best results, use the 'Pulse' button to break up the ingredients, and then blend on 'High' to get the smoothest, most spreadable butter possible. And trust me, the results are worth it - you'll get a butter that's so silky and smooth, you'll want to spread it on everything.

There are a few things you need to keep in mind while using it. For one, you might notice some unprocessed bits or powder stuck around or under the blades. And two, making nut butter with the Ninja BL610 takes a bit of time and effort. You'll need to stop the blender a few times to scrape the sides of the jar with a spoon or spatula, since it doesn't have a 2-part lid and tamper. But honestly, it's worth the extra work.

Overall Scored of this feature100%

The blender has simple controls that make it easy to get started. You've got three speed presets to choose from, plus a pulse mode for those times when you need a little extra oomph. And, of course, there's a power button that acts as an on/off toggle - just press it to turn the blender on or off.

I think one of the things I like most about the Ninja BL610 Professional Blender is how easy it is to use. You don't need to be a blending expert to figure out how to make a smoothie or puree some veggies. Just add your ingredients, choose your speed, and hit blend. Easy peasy.

Now, I know some of you might be thinking, doesn't it have any fancy blending programs that can stop it automatically?" Bu it doesn't. If you're looking for that kind of feature, you might want to check out the Ninja NJ601AMZ instead. But if you're okay with a more manual approach, the BL610 is a great choice.

Cleaning the Ninja BL610 Professional Blender requires some attention to detail. The blade design can make it difficult to clean by hand, and the blades are very sharp, so it's important to exercise caution when handling them. One way to simplify the cleaning process is to run the blender with soap and water, which can help remove a significant amount of residue from the jar and blades.

However, there is a small hole on one end of the blade assembly stem that connects to the lid's locking mechanism, and this can trap debris and be challenging to clean. You may need to use a long, thin tool, such as a pipe cleaner, to reach into this area.

Additionally, you'll want to wipe the lid's gasket with a sponge to remove any remaining residue. It's also a good idea to open the lid's spout cover and clean it thoroughly to ensure everything is clean and free of debris.

When it comes to operating at maximum speed, this blender emits a noise level of 90 decibels. To put that into perspective, it's actually on the quieter side compared to other full-size blenders on the market. This is a significant advantage, especially for those who plan to use their blender for recipes that require longer blending times.

In fact, this blender is much quieter than some of its competitors, such as the Vitamix 5300 and Vitamix 5200 models. These Vitamix blenders are known for their powerful performance, but they can also be quite loud, which can be irritating to listen to for extended periods.

On the other hand, this blender's relatively quiet operation makes it a more pleasant experience for users who need to blend ingredients for longer than a few seconds. If you're someone who values a peaceful kitchen environment, you'll appreciate the reduced noise level of this blender.

That being said, if you're looking for an even quieter blender, you might want to consider the Kitchenaid K150 model. It's known for its exceptionally quiet operation, making it an excellent choice for those who prioritize a low-noise blending experience.

 Ninja BN701

In my opinion, the Ninja BL610 Blender has a slight edge over its competitor when it comes to blending fibrous ingredients like kale. If you're a green smoothie enthusiast, you know how annoying it can be to end up with a blend that's chunky or stringy. But the BL610 seems to have a magic touch when it comes to breaking down those pesky fibers, leaving you with a silky smooth blend that's a joy to drink.

Also, if we talk about the price, our selected model is much more affordable than its competitor. You know there is a difference of 20$ in their price tag.

That being said, the Ninja BN701 Professional Plus Blender with Auto-iQ is still a fantastic option, and some people may actually prefer it over the BL610. For one thing, it's built like a tank - this blender is seriously sturdy, and it feels like it could withstand a nuclear blast.

But beyond its rugged construction, the BN701 also has some really handy features that can make blending a whole lot easier. For example, it comes with a few automatic blending programs that can take the guesswork out of blending - just select the program you want, and the blender will do the rest.

NutriBullet Blender Combo

According to my experience both of these blenders are rockstars in their own way, but they're definitely suited for different tasks.

If you're all about making quick, healthy drinks on-the-go, the blender combo might be your new best friend. It comes with two personal jars that are perfect for whipping up a single-serve smoothie or juice, and the to-go lids make it easy to take your drink with you wherever you go.

Plus, the NutriBullet is a master at blending fibrous ingredients like kale or spinach, so you can get your green on without any chunky texture. And, as a bonus, you can use the main jar to blend hot ingredients for recipes like soup or sauce - talk about versatility!

On the other hand, if you're looking for a blender that can handle the tough stuff, the Ninja Blender 1000 is the way to go. This machine is a beast when it comes to crushing ice and making nut butter - it's like it's saying, 'Bring it on, tough ingredients!' So, if you're a fan of homemade ice cream or you want to make your own peanut butter, the Ninja is the clear winner.

Oster Blender Pro 1200

When it comes to versatility, the Oster Blender Pro 1200 is the clear winner. Not only does it come with a massive 48-ounce glass jar, but it also throws in a personal jar for making single-serve smoothies on-the-go - and the matching to-go lid is just the cherry on top. Plus, it's a total rockstar when it comes to blending fibrous ingredients like kale or spinach, which means you'll get a silky smooth blend every time.

And, as a bonus, it's got some customizable functions that let you tailor your blend to your specific needs.

Of course, all that awesomeness comes at a price - literally. The Oster Blender Pro 1200 will set you back around $114, which is a whopping $44 more than the Ninja BL610. But, if you're looking for a blender that can handle everything from smoothies to soups, it might be worth the extra cash.

On the other hand, if you're looking for a blender that can crush ice like it's nobody's business, the Ninja BL610 is still a solid choice. It's got a more rugged build quality, and its main jar has a bigger capacity than the Oster. So, if you're all about making frozen treats or blending up some serious ice-based concoctions, the Ninja might be the way to go.

Vitamix Explorian E310

After comparing both models, I think the Vitamix Explorian E310 is the clear winner in this showdown. I mean, don't get me wrong, the Ninja is a solid blender, but the Vitamix is just on a whole other level.

First of all, the build quality of the Vitamix is seriously impressive. It's like a tank, but in a good way - it's sturdy, it's reliable, and it's built to last. And when it comes to performance, the Vitamix is a total rockstar. It can handle hot blending like a pro, which means you can make soups, sauces, and all sorts of other deliciousness with ease.

Plus, it's a master at processing both small and large batches of fibrous ingredients, like kale or spinach. And let's not forget about making nut butter - the Vitamix makes it a breeze.

But what really sets the Vitamix apart is how easy it is to clean. I mean, we've all been there - stuck scrubbing away at a blender jar for hours, trying to get rid of all the stuck-on gunk. But the Vitamix is a whole different story. It's a cinch to clean by hand, which means you'll be back to blending in no time.

Of course, the Ninja does have a few tricks up its sleeve. For one thing, it's way quieter than the Vitamix, which is a big plus if you're planning on blending early in the morning or late at night. And, surprisingly, it does a slightly better job of crushing ice in its main pitcher. But overall, the Vitamix is just a more powerful, more versatile, and more convenient blender.

Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher Blender

The Ninja BL610 blender is built to last, with a sturdy design that can withstand even the toughest ingredients. And when it comes to crushing ice, the Ninja is in a league of its own - it's like a hot knife through butter.

Plus, the Ninja is a breeze to use for recipes like nut butter or hummus, which is a major win. But, if you're looking for a blender with a little extra something, the Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher might be worth considering. For one thing, it comes with a glass jar, which is a major plus for anyone who's worried about chemicals leaching into their food. And, to its credit, the Hamilton Beach can hot blend like a pro, which means you can make soups and smoothies that are silky smooth and utterly delicious.

Besides that, Hamilton Beach has some major drawbacks. For one thing, its build quality is just not up to par. It's not as sturdy or reliable as the Ninja, which means you might find yourself dealing with more breakdowns and maintenance issues down the line. To be honest, that's a major deal-breaker for a lot of people.

Conclusion

After analyzing each part, I’d like to say that the Ninja BL610 Blender is a powerful and versatile addition to any kitchen. This is a most affordable option with an impressive 1000-watt motor and advanced Total Crushing Technology. You know this machine can easily handle even the toughest ingredients which you want to blend.

Although It’s not good for making milky smoothies like Vitamix and other Ninja blenders, it's also good for crushing ice, frozen fruit and other purposes.

Also, It’s not louder than other Ninja models Include Ninja BL642, Ninja Tb401, tb301, and the Ninja TB201 Detect Power Blender, because this machine makes at least 90 dba.

You’ll have to be careful while cleaning it due to its very sharp blades. I’d recommend this model to those people who need an affordable blender.
