Overview of Vitamix 7500 Blender

The Vitamix 7500 blender is the part of G-series that stands for “Next Generation” which is pretty self-explanatory – these blenders are a major upgrade from Vitamix’s past models 5000 and 5200.

The thing that really stood out to me was how they managed to make the blenders more powerful while also reducing noise. Like who would’ve thought making a blender quieter was even possible?! But they found a way to dampen noise by up to 40% using some fancy new airflow and cooling systems. As someone who hates loud kitchen appliances, that alone sold me on these new G-Series blenders.

The base model is called the 7500 which seems like a great option. But if you want all the bells and whistles, they also have the 750 and 780 that offer even more advanced features. No matter which you go with though, you’re getting a seriously powerful 2.2 horsepower motor compared to the 2HP motors of old.

Another huge difference is the redesigned containers. Gone are those tall narrow containers we’re used to – these new ones are wider and shorter. At first I didn’t think 3 inches would make that much of a difference, but when I realized it meant I could actually fit the blender under my kitchen cabinets, that sealed the deal for me. No more lifting and moving heavy containers all over the place!

What size and color can I get?

So I was doing some research the other day on high-powered blenders and came across the Vitamix 7500 blender, which seems to be a really popular choice. This blender comes in a few different color options – black, red, and white. Now normally I’d go for something flashy like red, but I’ve heard the black one performs just as well as the others.

You can get options when it comes to attachments too. This blender works with a 32 oz container for smaller batches, a 20 oz cup if you’re only making a smoothie for yourself, and even a handy scraper tool to keep things moving around inside. Of course, I can’t vouch for how those other attachments work since I only tested out the standard 64 oz container. But from what I hear, the performance should be similar across the board.

Overall Design & Size

Vitamix 7500 blender,

This blending machine is massive!” I said in surprise. At 17.5 inches tall, its dimensions dwarfed the 11-inch blender it was replacing. The 7.7-inch width and 9.2-inch depth gave it real heft too. Lifting the nearly 13-pound unit felt like a workout!

Somehow Vitamix had squeezed this hulk into a relatively small box. I was impressed by the company’s packaging skills. Getting it inside posed another challenge though. Most of my cabinets were too narrow – no way this beast was fitting through those doors!

After much shuffling, I squeezed it onto the counter. Its weight kept it stable, an upgrade from my old blender’s tendency to walk around. While its size shocked me at first, I’ve come to appreciate the solid construction. Blending big batches is now a breeze too.

As the saying goes, good things come in small packages – even if the Vitamix 7500 blender itself is anything but small! Its massive stature may surprise, but quality and power are worth the extra real estate it requires in my kitchen.

Jar Capacity & Material

Vitamix 7500 Blender blender

When I first received my Vitamix 7500 blender, I was eager to start using the iconic low-profile 64oz jar. Right away, I could see how its innovative design would deliver on breaking down even large ingredients into smooth purees.

Four rounded edges push contents continuously back towards the powerful blades, resulting in incredibly thorough and lump-free mixes. I’ve yet to encounter anything this jar can’t fully pulverize into a silky-smooth texture. The BPA-free copolyester material also provides peace of mind.

Versatility is another major plus – this jar works across different Vitamix models too. However, its size does come with some drawbacks. At over 5 pounds empty, heavy lifting is required each time. Washing by hand after use also takes some muscle due to its contours.

As an added inconvenience, none of the 7500’s plastic parts are dishwasher safe unlike other Vitamix blenders. This means hand washing is a must. It’s a bit annoying but a small price to pay for the jar’s superior blending performance.

lid Design

Vitamix 7500 blender,

Its lid has these thick rubber seals around the edge that form an ultra-tight grip once it’s screwed on. No more worries about blended goodness exploding all over your kitchen mid-blend. But the real magic is that clear plastic panel right in the middle. At first I wasn’t sure what it was for, but then I realized – this baby lets you add ingredients on the fly without stopping the blender or taking the whole container off the base. Genius!

But that’s not even the best part. You see, tucked inside the lid is this handy little tool they call a “tamper.” Basically it’s a plastic stick that lets you bust up anything stubborn without disruption. Just pop open that middle panel, insert the tamper, and go to town breaking up chunks while the blades do their thing. No more frustration trying to scrape stuff out with a spatula between pulses!

Overall I’m really impressed by the design updates on this Vitamix 7500 blender jar. The seals, addition window, and tamper tool make the whole blending process so much smoother. No more interruptions – just pure, perfectly blended goodness from start to finish. It really takes the effort out of smoothie and shake making. I’d highly recommend giving one of these jars a try if you do a lot of blending in your kitchen. The quality of life upgrade is definitely worth it!

Motor Built Quality

Vitamix 7500 blender,

This heavy-duty machine has powered through countless soups, sauces, nut butters and more without complaint.

What first attracted me to the Vitamix was its powerful 2.2 horsepower motor. With over 2 horsepower at its disposal, this blender can pulverize just about anything you put in its path. I’ve even used it to blend frozen fruit without any issues. The motor is the same one used in Vitamix’s higher-end Pro 750 model, so you know it can handle serious blending tasks.

Beyond its raw power, I appreciate the Vitamix’s wide range of speeds. Being able to slowly ramp up or down is important when you don’t want everything blended into a puree. It allows for more nuanced textures. The torquey motor maintains a smooth blend no matter the consistency of your ingredients.

Construction-wise, this blender feels like it was built to last. The base is solid metal and the jar feels sturdy yet comfortable to hold. Even after years of regular use, it still looks and works like new. I also like that the cord is long – no more worrying about finding the right outlet.

Blades Shape & Speed

Vitamix 7500 blender,

This machine is equipped with 4 sharp blades and it’ll pulverize just about anything you throw in there. But it’s definitely more high-tech than your average blender. A lot of new owners get tripped up when it’s time to clean those powerful blades.

See, with the Vitamix 7500 blender the blades don’t come out of the jar like some other models. Vitamix designed them to stay put for optimal blending power. I know, it seems weird at first if you’re used to just rinsing blades by hand. But it actually makes cleanup easier once you get the hang of it.

The best method is to fill the jar with warm soapy water and let ‘er rip! Blend it on one of the lower speeds just long enough to get all the gunk swirling around. Then you can just wipe everything down or even toss the whole jar in the dishwasher if you want. Just be sure not to submerge the base.

Oh and definitely don’t try prying those blades out yourself – it’ll void your warranty faster than you can say “smoothie.” I’ve heard of people damaging theirs by getting overzealous with a butter knife. Stick to blending or hand washing like the manual says and that baby will last you for years of healthy meals.

Performance

Making Soups

The Vitamix 7500 blender is an excellent blender, especially when it comes to making soups. In fact, it scored an impressive 97 in soup tests, which shows just how great it is. One of the key features of this best soup blender is its ability to hot blend. This means you can make soups directly in the blender without needing to heat them separately.

Its main jar holds 64 ounces, making it perfect for preparing large batches of soups. Whether you’re cooking for your family or meal prepping for the week, this jar size will handle it all with ease.

Another helpful feature is the tamper that comes with the blender. The tamper ensures that even fibrous ingredients like kale get fully blended. No more worrying about tough or stringy bits in your soup!

The Vitamix blender is also well-built, meaning it’s durable and can handle heavy use without issues. Overall, it’s a top choice for anyone who loves making soups.

Best for small and large fibrous Ingredients

Vitamix 7500 blender,

So you know how the Vitamix 7500 blender is great for whipping up smoothies and such, but sometimes smaller batches can be a bit tricky? Because this jar is a little wider at the bottom than other models, small ingredients like kale or spinach have a tendency to splash up the sides when you’re only making a single serving. Super annoying when you’re trying to enjoy a quick smoothie before work!

But I figured out a handy little trick – just take a spatula and give the jar walls a quick scrape as it’s blending. Presto, everything gets incorporated into the mix without any green or leafy bits stuck up top. Makes for a silky smooth texture every time, even with stubborn veggies.

On the flip side, this Vitamix powerful blender shines when you’re blending up a huge batch. We’re talking things like a week’s worth of green goodness or a big pot of homemade soup. Throw it all in there and hit “blend” – it pulverizes everything so finely without any mess.

Making Nut Butter

Vitamix 7500 blender,

If you’re looking to whip up a fresh batch of peanut, almond, or whatever kind of nut butter you fancy. So start by adding your nuts of choice to the Vitamix 7500 blender jar. I like to go with about 2 cups at a time. Then just secure the lid and push the lowest speed to get things moving. As it’s blending, increase the speed gradually over 5-10 minutes if you want.

Another trick is about halfway through, loosen the lid just a crack and stick your trusty spatula down in there. The nuts can tend to climb up the sides, so give everything a good mix back down into the blades. Tighten it back up and let ‘er rip till you reach that perfect creamy consistency.

Now I will say, some other models like the Vitamix 5200 do produce a slightly smoother final product without needing to open the lid. But really, it’s not a huge difference.

 Easy to Use

While the Vitamix 7500 blender may not have fancy pre-set programs like some of the newer models, its simple and intuitive controls are really all you need.

The variable speed dial is nice and wide, making it easy to smoothly dial up or down as needed. I appreciate that subtle adjustments are possible between each numbered speed setting. This lets me fine-tune textures whether I’m making baby food or frozen cocktails.

That pulse function also comes in handy more than you might think. Beyond just cleaning, it allows for a little burst of blending without fully committing to continuous mode. This is perfect for things like sauces where you want some chunks remaining.

The on/off switch is conveniently placed on the side so your hands stay free while blending. And with its commercial-grade motor, this blender can power through even the toughest ingredients without breaking a sweat.

Simple and durable is the name of the Vitamix game. While the newer models offer some preset programs, I don’t really feel like I’m missing out without them. With just a dial and switch to learn, anyone can use this blender with ease.

Easy to Clean

One of the biggest advantages of this Vitamix 7500 blender is its ease of cleaning, which is a major plus for anyone who’s spent hours scrubbing away at stubborn residue. To get started, simply run the blender with a mixture of soap and water in the jar, and let it do its magic. This quick trick takes care of a significant amount of leftover residue, making the cleaning process a whole lot easier.

Of course, there are still a few areas that require some manual attention. You’ll need to grab a sponge or brush to wipe down the lid, inside of the jar, and the blade assembly. But don’t worry, this isn’t a daunting task by any means. In fact, it’s a relatively quick and painless process that won’t leave you feeling frustrated or overwhelmed.

That being said, if you’re looking for an even more low-maintenance option, you might want to consider the Wolf Gourmet Pro-Performance blender. One of the standout features of this blender is its blunt-edged blades, which make it incredibly easy to clean by hand.

Noise Level

When running at its maximum speed, the Vitamix 7500 blender produces a noise level of 93.6 decibels. This noise level isn’t extremely loud, especially for a full-size blender. In fact, many blenders in the same category can be much noisier. However, it’s worth mentioning that there are quieter options available if noise is a concern for you.

For example, the Wolf Gourmet Pro-Performance Blender is known for being quieter than most blenders in its class. Similarly, the Hamilton Beach Professional Quiet Blender is designed specifically to minimize noise while blending. These models offer a quieter blending experience, making them great choices if you’re sensitive to noise or want a more peaceful kitchen environment.

That being said, the Vitamix 7500’s noise level is still manageable for most people. It’s common for high-powered blenders to be on the louder side, so this is something to consider when choosing the right blender for your needs.
